I combine archaeology, art history and classical philology with historical sociolinguistics, cultural economic anthropology, and computational linguistics/social science. South Asia physical/martial practices are my primary interest. This includes wrestling, acrobatics/tumbling and street performers. I have done a lot of work on trans-national yoga tourism and "Sanskrit-speaking" villages.
