Mr
Asaf Lone
Asaf Ali Lone is a PhD candidate at the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet), Australian National University. His research explores how peace-building, transitional justice, the rule of law, and redress mechanisms intersect across different temporal nodes, gendered dimensions, territorial imaginations and spatialities in South Asia and beyond. His previous research focused on land and housing rights, urban marginality, segregation, violence, migration, and participatory planning in Indian cities. Building on his earlier and current work he experiments with creative and collaborative methodologies through the use of art, poetry, music, and visual ethnography to capture the textures of everyday life in India and across the South Asian diaspora.
